Female Migrant Entrepreneurship in Portugal, opportunities, challenges and strategies

The second edition of the “Female Migrant Entrepreneurship in Portugal – Opportunities, Challenges and Strategies” webinar, promoted by the High Commissioner for Migrations (ACM), took place at the end of September 2022.

The session was attended by the Secretary of State for Equality and Migration, Isabel Almeida Rodrigues, and the High Commissioner for Migration, Sónia Pereira, and included the testimony of female migrant entrepreneurs about their projects and their experience in the labour market, in a moment of sharing and reflection.

The Feminisation of Migration, Female Empowerment, Microentrepreneurship, Social Entrepreneurship and First-Person Entrepreneurial Experiences were the topics under debate at this initiative, which also marks the 12th anniversary of PEI – Promotion of Immigrant Entrepreneurship and with the participation of several female entrepreneurs trained in this project promoted by the ACM.
