Social Report, the results from Romania

In Romania, part of the research process was realized by means of a survey, which had as a main purpose the identification of the needs, inspirations, competencies and entrepreneurial abilities of migrant women.

We spoke with migrant women located in Romania, who are interested in beginning an entrepreneurial career or who are already entrepreneurs. A total of 15 responses from ( Iran, Algeria, Cameroon, Iraq, Philippines, Somalia, Turkey, Ukraine and Jordan) registered for the survey.

When it came to entrepreneurship, most of the respondents said the word had a positive connotation for them and half of them have been entrepreneurs in their countries. The respondents who answered YES mostly activated in the creative sector (handmade objects, jewelry) and the commerce sector.  We have also spoken with them about their challenges, support systems and what they thought were the best skills for an entrepreneur.
